Two veiled priests sacrifice a pig — the standard Roman piacular sacrifice (expiatory offering). This type may relate to the religious ceremonies of the Secular Games of 17 BC, or to sacrifices associated with the founding or re-founding of colonies and the vows made at the beginning of Augustus's rule.
