Majorian

Majorian (AD 457 to 461) is often considered the last capable western emperor, making serious efforts to restore Roman authority. He was betrayed and executed by the kingmaker Ricimer. His coins are scarce but not impossible to find, and he is a sympathetic figure among collectors.
